Brian Leonard

Founder · Lean Six Sigma Black Belt

Brian Leonard started on a manufacturing floor, supervising teams of up to fifty associates. Three decades later, that’s still where he does his best work — with the people closest to the process.

He has led Lean and Six Sigma transformations across manufacturing, pharmaceutical, and healthcare organizations, including a corporate coaching role at 3M and operational excellence leadership at Takeda. His work with Purdue University Healthcare Advisors spanned seven years on staff and five more as a consultant after founding Lean Sigma Advisors in 2015 — applying Lean Six Sigma to some of healthcare’s most stubborn problems, increasing capacity 41%, reducing catheter-associated infections by 44%, and cutting surgical site infections by 57%.

He has trained and mentored more than 2,000 leaders and frontline associates — because a transformation that depends on the consultant staying isn’t a transformation.
